Elementary #6 is more than a new school — it is an anchor for a community still taking shape. Located within a large master-planned development in Black Diamond, Washington State, the project is being designed to serve a growing neighborhood from the ground up. AfE is fully integrated within the Korsmo Construction/TCF Architecture team, contributing across design and cross-discipline coordination throughout design development. The architecture draws deliberate inspiration from Black Diamond’s coal mining heritage — rooting a brand-new building in the history and identity of the place it will serve for generations.
